| During our
summers, the wonderful weather requires the right kind of living space to truly enjoy the
Canonicus camp experience. Our campers also need their rest for the days of fun in
the sun that are part of the daily camp activities. To this end we accommodate our campers in
wonderful airy shelters (such as the one above at left) and in tent villages.
Campers sleep in bunks (shelters) or on spring-frame beds (tents). Our Outdoor
Living Skills (OLS) camp often sleep in 3-man tents or under their own individually
constructed shelter (such as the one below on right).
However, shelter is not always
needed as there will be opportunities to sleep under the stars and enjoy the
constellations without a lot of city lights disturbing the view.
As for supervision, there are at
least 2 counselors in the shelters or in the tents during the evenings. The
shelter and tent villages are in close proximity to each other and nestled into our
property away from public accessed roads.
